Abstract

Following the rapid expansion of onshore wind power in many parts of the globe, offshore wind generation is now also being deployed at an increasing pace. At the end of 2012, 12 countries worldwide had installed offshore wind capacity, with the United Kingdom, Denmark, and China being the three biggest markets (see Figures 1 and 2).
