Abstract

This document explains the U.S. Department of Energy's (DOE) position under the Standard Compliance method of DOE's Alternative Fuel Transportation Program (the Program; 10 C.F.R. Part 490) regarding alternative fuel vehicle (AFV) credits and how to determine whether a vehicle is an AFV in the context of covered fleet acquisitions of certain electric drive vehicles.
