Desiccant Cooling: A Non-CFC, Energy-Efficient Space-Conditioning Technology

    Research output: NRELMarketing

    Abstract

NREL's specially designed laboratories allow in- house scientists and industry partners to conduct detailed research on advanced desiccant (drying) materials, components, and systems for cooling and dehumidification. This fact sheet focuses on these new desiccant technologies, many of which use solar thermal energy, waste heat, or natural gas in place of ozone-depleting refrigerants.
