Development Program for Assembling Photovoltaic Modules in South Africa

This publication provides a summary of the program, whose primary objective is to set up a black- owned business?Suncorp Manufacturing?in South Africa that is a prototype plant for assembling photovoltaic modules. The project, supported by the U.S. Department of Energy, has been implemented by the collaborative effort of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, Spire Corporation (a U.S. firm),Renaissance Management (a South African company), and others.
