Abstract

This study presents research and provides data-driven analysis on economic and technical impacts of distributed PV (DPV) adoption in the Philippines, and examines their implications for potential policy and regulatory revisions. The study quantifies customer economics and utility revenue and rate impacts of DPV in the Manila Electric Company (Meralco) service territory, whereas the technical analysis simulates the projected impacts of maximum DPV penetration on a particular distribution system in Visayan Electric Company (Veco) service area.
