Distributed Wind Hybrid Energy Systems for Rural Applications

Research output: NRELFact Sheet

Abstract

Distributed wind-based hybrid energy systems (DW-hybrids) can mitigate the variability of renewable energy resources. DW-hybrids are growing because of their ability to contribute to local energy and resilience needs. This fact sheet provides information to potential DW-hybrids adopters about how these systems could benefit them. This resource provides an overview of hybrid distributed wind energy systems and can assist rural communities in evaluating the potential of these technologies to meet their specific area needs. Such information is expected to promote the deployment of distributed wind hybrid energy systems in rural communities.
