Abstract
The Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) in California offers free energy audits to its industrial and commercial customers, along with financial incentives to encourage energy efficiency. This helpful publication explains how the SMUD program, and other similar municipal utility programs across the country, are using energy audits to identify the energy efficiency measures that are mosteffective for themselves and their customers.
