Abstract

This profile provides a snapshot of the energy landscape of the Republic of the Marshall Islands, an island country and a United States associated state near the equator in the Pacific Ocean. Geographically, the country is part of the larger island group of Micronesia. The Marshall Islands electricity rates for residential customers average $0.36 U.S. dollars (USD) per kilowatt-hour (kWh), nearly 3 times the average U.S. residential rate of $0.13 USD/kWh.
