Abstract

This report will update modeled costs for a fixed bed ex situ catalytic fast pyrolysis process for the conversion of biomass to liquid hydrocarbon fuels based on recent bench-scale experimental results. It will also update previously published information for this conversion pathway in the DOE Bioenergy Technologies Office 2016 Multi-Year Program Plan with current understanding of research goals achievable by 2022 and associated modeled cost reductions. All costs will be updated to a consistent set of assumptions in 2016 dollars.
