Experiments on Sorption Characteristics of Solid Desiccant Materials for Solar Desiccant Cooling Systems

Research output: NRELTechnical Report

Abstract

A test facility for measuring the sorption properties of candidate solid desiccant materials under dynamic conditions as well as equilibrium conditions, those experienced during desiccant dehumidifier operation, was constructed and tested. The theory of perturbation chromatography was initially used to measure the equilibrium properties of a desiccant/water-vapor system for the first time.
