Abstract
Microgrids are receiving a considerable interest from the power industry, partly because their business and technical structure shows promise as a means of taking full advantage of distributed generation. This report investigates three issues associated with facility microgrids: 1) Multiple-distributed generation facility microgrids' unintentional islanding protection, 2) Facility microgrids'response to bulk grid disturbances, and 3) Facility microgrids' intentional islanding.;
