Abstract

This is the official rules document for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) funded American-Made Feeder of the Future Prize. This prize aims to encourage the development of advanced distribution system feeder and circuit designs that align with the evolving demands of 21st century power delivery. This prize will focus on fostering new innovative distribution system feeder designs for rural, suburban, and urban customers. Prize submissions are welcome from all technology innovators, including individuals, small and large businesses, and universities. By encouraging varied perspectives and solutions, the prize aims to accelerate innovation and promote practical, scalable, improvements in the way distribution system feeder and circuits are designed, managed, and evolved. The Feeder of the Future Prize is part of the Digitizing Utilities Prize series conceived and supported by the Office of Electricity.
