Abstract

The island of Guam is located in the Pacific Ocean more than 6,000 miles west of the California coast. In the face of tropical storms, rising energy prices, and mandates for power plant retirement, Guam is increasing energy security and resilience while making significant progress on its path to 100% renewable energy. Over the past 10 years, Guam's renewable energy production has grown to serve over 11% of it's power needs with more planned.
