Research output: NRELTechnical Report

Abstract

This report provides further analysis of the feasibility of a waste-to-energy (WTE) facility in the area near Port-au-Prince, Haiti. NREL's previous analysis and reports identified anaerobic digestion (AD) as the optimal WTE technology at the facility. Building on the prior analyses, this report evaluates the conceptual financial and technical viability of implementing a combined waste managementand electrical power production strategy by constructing a WTE facility at the existing Trutier waste site north of Port-au-Prince.
