Abstract

The solar resource community is saddened to have recently lost one of its most prominent dignitaries, Dr. Frank Vignola, who has been at the forefront of that field for the last 45 years. Frank strongly believed in the future of solar energy and, as a physicist, he was convinced of the crucial national need for the accurate measurement of solar radiation.
