Abstract
Report documents an evaluation of the environmental, economic, and energy impacts of integrated municipal solid waste management systems in six cities: Minneapolis, MN; Springfield, MA; Seattle, WA; Scottsdale, AZ; Palm Beach County, CA; and Sevierville, TN. The primary objective of these case studies was to develop and present consistent cost, resource use (especially energy), and environmentalregulatory information on each operating IMSWM system. The process is defined as using two or more alternative waste management techniques. Detailed reports on each system are available.
