Looking at Pollution Control in a New Light: Photochemistry for a Cleaner Environment

    Research output: NRELMarketing

    Abstract

A team of researchers from NREL and Sandia National Laboratories has developed a pollution control technique -- photocatalytic oxidation, or PCO -- that uses the energy in light to destroy environmental contaminants. This innovative technique, which could help thousands of businesses comply with today's and tomorrow's environmental regulations, is cost competitive with traditional techniques fortreating tainted air and water emissions.
