Abstract
In the recent article by Efaw et al. published in Nature Materials, a unique micelle-like bulk structure of localized high-concentration electrolytes (LHCEs) is revealed to provide beneficial characteristics with respect to solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) stability on lithium metal anodes. This work adds to the pertinent discussions on design rules of LHCE, providing tangible guidelines for its improvement.
