National-Scale Wind Resource Assessment for Power Generation (Presentation): NREL (National Renewable Energy Laboratory)

Research output: NRELPresentation

Abstract

This presentation describes the current standards for conducting a national-scale wind resource assessment for power generation, along with the risk/benefit considerations to be considered when beginning a wind resource assessment. The presentation describes changes in turbine technology and viable wind deployment due to more modern turbine technology and taller towers and shows how thePhilippines national wind resource assessment evolved over time to reflect changes that arise from updated technologies and taller towers.
