Abstract
The Utility Wind Interest Group, Inc. (UWIG), in cooperation with the U.S. Department of Energy, supports the appropriate integration of wind technology for utility applications. The UWIG provides a unique forum for the critical analysis of wind technology for utility applications. Many utilities are actively considering wind generation as another element of a comprehensive resource portfolio andpositioning themselves to take advantage of new market opportunities.
