Abstract

Thermolytic decomposition of NMo(OtBu)3 with Ti(OtBu)4 results in mixed-metal oxynitrides that retain 75% of the N from the nitrido precursor. The fundamental photophysics of the oxynitrides were investigated, and TRMC measurements determined that Mo and N are critical to the long charge carrier lifetimes in the microsecond regime.
