    Abstract

    Featured in this issue are articles on the Laboratory's efforts to assist U.S. wind turbine manufacturers in moving their advanced models into competitive world markets, as well as on a new NREL tool called short-term energy monitoring that can be used by building designers and managers to predict and monitor energy use. Also profiled is the new, state-of-the-art laboratory at NREL's Outdoor TestFacility, which will assist NREL and its industry partners in evaluating advanced photovoltaic (PV) technologies and validating innovations in PV module and system performance, reliability, and safety.
