This brief describes and explains the procedures for deriving the data contained in the User's Manual for TMY2s?Typical Meteorological Years Derived from the 1961-1990 National Solar Radiation Data Base. Planners seeking to depict real-life performance of solar energy technologies and energy-efficient designs can now feed computer simulation programs accurate data about the amount and type ofsolar radiation (as well as about a variety of meteorological conditions) expected at specific locations.
