Research output: NRELFact Sheet

Abstract

The Thermal and Catalytic Process Development Unit at NREL has state-of-the-art equipment for thermochemical process development and testing, ranging from catalyst and feedstock characterizations to bench-scale reactors to pilot plants. Within this facility NREL's thermal and catalytic simulation and modeling team integrates experimental and computational capabilities to address the complexities of real biomass and waste streams, enabling development of renewable energy technologies. This fact sheet summarizes the core capabilities and applications.
