Nurseries Best Practices Guide for Energy and Water Efficiency, Renewable Energy, and Resilience

Research output: NRELTechnical Report

Abstract

This guide is a compilation of energy and water efficiency, renewable energy, and resilience best practices at United States Forest Service (USFS) nurseries and seed extractory facilities. The Forest Service Nursery System supports the agency’s mission to restore and retain ecosystem health throughout its 193-million acres and ensures the future of biological diversity on federal lands. This guide was developed in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and is based on pilot analyses at two western nurseries.
