Abstract
The Adam Joseph Lewis Center for Environmental Studies at Oberlin College in Ohio is a building that houses classrooms and offices. The building was designed to be an energy-efficient model for commercial design and serve as a teaching aid to students. The long-term vision for the building was to export more energy than it consumes, sometimes referred to as a zero-energy building. To accomplishthis, the Lewis Center was designed to minimize site energy use while producing electricity on-site.
