Abstract
This report provides a high-level summary of the current market trends for batteries and discusses the role battery storage technologies can play in Mexico's transition towards higher penetrations of variable renewable energy generation. This includes: frequency regulation, transmission upgrade deferral, distributed generation, and serving peak demand.
