Prototype Demonstration of Dual Sorbent Injection for Acid Gas Control on Municipal Solid Waste Combustion Units

    Research output: NRELTechnical Report

    Abstract

This report gathered and evaluated emissions and operations data associated with furnace injection of dry hydrated lime and duct injection of dry sodium bicarbonate at a commercial, 1500 ton per day, waste-to-energy facility. The information compiled during the project sheds light on these sorbents to affect acid gas emissions from municipal solid waste combustors. The information assesses thecapability of these systems to meet the 1990 Clean Air Act and 1991 EPA Emission Guidelines.
