Abstract
Using technologies such as solar photovoltaics (PV) to provide power to a site during a large-scale grid outage can be an effective solution for enhancing resilience, if designed appropriately. This paper discusses storm-hardening strategies including wind-loading standards, secure racking systems, balance of electrical systems and pre-storm preparations.
