Research output: NRELFact Sheet

Abstract

The Thermal and Catalytic Process Development Unit at NREL has state-of-the-art equipment for thermochemical process development and testing, ranging from catalyst and feedstock characterizations to bench-scale reactors to pilot plants. Within this facility is the Fuel Synthesis Catalysis Laboratory, a purpose-built facility designed for evaluating the performance of heterogeneous catalysts in converting biomass intermediates and waste streams into chemicals and fuels. This fact sheet summarizes the capabilities of this laboratory.
