    Abstract

    This report identifies research, development, and demonstration (RD&D) needs and priorities associated with municipal solid waste (MSW) management technologies that conserve or produce energy or resources. This assessment of RD&D needs and priorities was prepared for the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) of the United States Department of Energy (DOE) in recognition of the many changesthat have occurred in the nature of MSW management over the past decade.
