Research output: NRELTechnical Report

Abstract

Argonne National Laboratory, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, and Oak Ridge National Laboratory conducted a review of current research and development needs to enable the expansion of natural gas use in transportation for the United States. Many of the barriers to natural gas use in transportation are technical in nature and overcoming them will require a concerted research and development needs: natural gas distribution, liquid fuel production from stranded gas, vehicle fuel use, natural gas storage, and impact analysis and assessment.
