Abstract

There is growing interest in system resilience, both domestically and internationally over the last several years. The EGRD workshop, hosted by the International Energy Agency is one of the premier industry and government workshops for grid reliability and resilience. Europe has a growing number of demonstrations and is making great strides in improving and expanding policies and technical solutions for grid resilience. The presentation will provide the attendees with an overview of grid resilience in general, and the challenges, obstacles and risks associated with creating a resilient grid system utilizing energy efficiency and renewable energy practices.
