Abstract

This work investigates the seasonal trends of PV soiling losses, using data collected from six soiling stations deployed in the USA. The preliminary analysis shows that PV sites have different seasonal patterns, but these can be grouped depending on the average soiling ratios registered at each location. Initial results suggest that it might be possible to identify seasonal trends of high-soiling sites using precipitation and pollution data. On the other hand, a more accurate analysis of the local and seasonal activities might be needed in lower soiling sites.
