Securing Flexible Demand

This briefing presents some prior work on security needs for virtual power plants (VPPs). This presentation introduces virtual power plants (VPPs) and discusses why they are an emerging participant in our power grid. We will look at several examples where they have been critical for grid reliability. We will then take a dive into some of the risks associated with wide-area digital coordination of VPP assets, and finally conclude with an outlook on what's next.
