SERI Advanced and Innovative Wind Energy Concepts Program

    Research output: NRELTechnical Report

    Abstract

In 1978 the Solar Energy Research Institute (SERI) was given the responsibility of managing the Advanced and Innovative Wind Energy Concepts (AIWEC) Task by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The objective of this program has been to determine the technical and economic potential of advanced wind energy concepts. Assessment and R&D efforts in the AIWEC program have included theoreticalperformance analyses, wind tunnel testing, and/or costing studies.
