Abstract
Size-dependence of the Raman spectrum of InP quantum dots (QD) was investigated. Characterization of Raman spectrum was performed by transverse (TO) and longitudinal (LO) optical modes as well as surface optical modes, occurring between the TO and LO modes. The LO phonon frequency was found to decrease and TO phonon frequency increased with decreasing QD size. Results also showed that the electron-phonon coupling decreased with decreasing QD size.
