Abstract
Using the experience of the Solar Two power tower plant located near Barstow, California, U.S. industry can position itself to take advantage of what DOE predicts will become a multibillion dollar market for power towers during the next 20 years. This fact sheet provides a technical explanation of the operation of the tower and a list of Solar Two Consortium participants, contributors, andgovernment partners, including the National Renewable Energy Laboratory.
