SSF Experimental Protocols -- Lignocellulosic Biomass Hydrolysis and Fermentation: Laboratory Analytical Procedure (LAP)

Research output: NRELTechnical Report

Abstract

The procedure explains a way to produce ethanol, known as simultaneous saccharification and fermentation. It uses cellulase enzyme to break down cellulose, and yeast to ferment the resulting glucose.
