Sustainability Criteria for Hydrogen Deployments

Research output: NRELPresentation

Abstract

Hydrogen sustainability metrics that exist today are primarily limited to economic and environmental factors. While these are good, further research is needed to refine existing metrics and provide frameworks with which to consider other future, quantifiable metrics such as social metrics. This research, funded by Mission Innovation in collaboration with Department of State and the Department of Energy, will aim to expand sustainability framework considerations in a manner that can be accurately measured which will guide deployment of and investment in hydrogen supply chain infrastructure projects.
