Abstract
The focus of DOE's Transmission and Distribution (T&D) Program is on developing a national T&D network to promote optimal use of renewable resources, energy storage, integrated resourceplanning, energy efficiency measures, and competitive electric markets. This publication looks at the systems currently being developed by the T&D Program to meet the demands created by increasing utilitycompetition, rising costs, and the growth of nonutility generators.
