    Abstract

    The team at Lockheed Martin Armament Systems in Burlington, Vermont, successfully installed nine adjustable speed drives to improve its ventilation system, thus ensuring that there is always plenty of ventilation to meet both plating process and health and safety requirements without wasting energy. Other articles in the summer issue deal with the wealth of new information on electric motorsystems and the Motor Challenge Program currently available on the new Motor Challenge home page; the Allied Partner program, which currently includes 14 members that can access Motor Challenge publications, software, and training tools to complement their existing knowledge and resources; and a MotorMaster+ software virtual classroom that will instruct participants in ways to use the software'spowerful features for motor inventory, selection, and analysis.
