    Abstract

    This fact sheet provides an overview of 'Project Refinement,' Steps 1 and 2 in the five-step energy project development process the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Indian Energy Policy and Programs and the National Renewable Energy Laboratory developed to provide Tribes with a clear path to follow in developing successful projects. Case studies highlight how the tasks involved in completingthis step helped Pueblo of Zuni and Passamaquoddy Tribes of Indian Township and Pleasant Point advance their renewable energy projects.
