U.S. Department of Energy Workshop Report: Solar Resources and Forecasting

This report summarizes the technical presentations, outlines the core research recommendations, and augments the information of the Solar Resources and Forecasting Workshop held June 20-22, 2011, in Golden, Colorado. The workshop brought together notable specialists in atmospheric science, solar resource assessment, solar energy conversion, and various stakeholders from industry and academia toreview recent developments and provide input for planning future research in solar resource characterization, including measurement, modeling, and forecasting.
