Users Manual for SERI QC Software: Assessing the Quality of Solar Radiation Data

    Research output: NRELTechnical Report

    Abstract

This users manual provides general information on solar radiation measurements and quality control measures and options. It was written for the user of SERI QC, a software package developed at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (formerly the Solar Energy Research Instititute [SERI]) for performing quality assessments of data obtained from one-minute to one-hour integrations of solarradiation; it is not applicable for performing quality assessments of daily total solar radiation energy. The software is described, along with the theory encompassing its appproach to postmeasurement quality assessment. Examples of typical measurement problems are given.
