Value Analysis of Advanced Heat Rejection Systems for Geothermal Power Plants

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaper

Abstract

A computer model and a methodology has been developed to perform value analysis for small, low-temperature binary geothermal power plants. The value analysis method allows for incremental changes in the levelized energy cost (LEC) to be determed between a baseline plant and a modified plant. Thermodynamic cycle anslyses and component sizing are carried out in the model followed by economicanalysis which provides LEC results. The emphasis of the present work has been on evaluating different types of heat rejection systems.
