    Abstract

This bibliography is designed to help the reader search for information on wind energy. The bibliography is intended to help several audiences, including engineers and scientists who may be unfamiliar with a particular aspect of wind energy, university researchers who are interested in this field, manufacturers who want to learn more about specific wind topics, and librarians who provideinformation to their clients. Topics range from the history of wind energy use to advanced wind turbine design. In addition to wind turbine development, design and applications, references for wind energy economics, the wind energy resource, and environmental and institutional issues related to wind energy are also included. This document was prepared by the National Renewable Energy Laboratoryin support of the U.S. Department of Energy under contract number DE-AC36-83CH1 0093.
