Abstract
For nearly 20 years, the U.S. Department of Energy has worked with electric utilities, independent power developers, and the wind industry to help develop technologies to capture energy from wind. This publication summarizes these collaborative efforts in fiscal years 1995 and 1996 that were designed to meet new technological challenges and make wind generation economically competitive.
